On a smooth surface, you can just roll along beside him without tilting, using a shorter handle, which is a breeze. My husband liked it so well, he got a duplicate. He had a tendency to fall, while the middle is not, and I'm sure it's because I purposely pack heavier items closer to the wheels. When he again packed the problem solved! I'm a relatively light packer and I had plenty of room, even took my soft air CarryOn it (and my husband took his briefcase in his), when we train. I had no zip extension. Large suitcase - a major problem with C Jake The bag was really great for our recent trip 2.5 weeks. The bag itself is very light and easy to see the beautiful color of the luggage conveyor belt! Unfortunately, the baggage handlers put a dent in a small part of the structure just above the rear corners of the bottom. I hope this does not create problems in the future. My only problem was that, when filled and expanded, the bag is not only stood up and fell forward! JH McNeil had little choice where I lived, so I paid $ 210 for this bag, while Amazon shows as little as $ 162. I bought it because the turnstiles and I really like this feature.
